Wrotham Road opened as a Money Order office in 1881 at no. 28, at the grocer's shop of William Patience. It moved to no. 27 to William Cain, upholsterer in 1890. Then it moved to no. 29, to Miss E Merton, baker, in 1902. The numbering was changed in 1909 and no. 29 became no. 51. There were no further changes of address until 1969 when it moved to no. 63 under Mr Harris. In February 1982 it moved across the road to no. 46.

Wrotham Rd Gravesend / Kent starred c.d.s. dated 31 January 1938 on registered cover to The Prince Albert pub. The registration label shows Gravesend was office number 8. On reverse is a Gravesend no. 3 registered oval in purple.
