Noteworthy: First US issue to feature more than 1 woman in the set.
- 5c Washington was redrawn as it originally gave Washington a 'Dirty Face' the re-issue is known as the 'Shaven face'
Issued one by one between 1965 and 1968 they were then re-issued tagged (luminescent coating)
- The 8c John J. Pershing issue of the Liberty Series has also now been retrospectively included in the Prominent Americans set
